Rediscovered: Naked 3 Palette

IMG_9896I think I’ve mentioned before that I am normally quite boring when it comes to makeup and I rarely make the effort to apply eyeshadow on a day to day basis. I don’t know whether it’s the change of seasons to more colder weather or a generally developing interest in eyeshadow but for the past two weeks I’ve been pulling out my Naked 3 palette in the mornings. I apply trick, an orange-toned gold all over the lid and intensify the crease with a bit of either factory or mugshot. So as you can see, still pretty basic but it makes the blue in my eyes stand out a bit more and I enjoy putting it on. Those Urban Decay shadows last all day and are buttery soft to apply, even the shimmery gold doesn’t have too much fall-out. Lastly I just added a bit of Essence’s khol kajal in brown to my lashline.

The rest of my face is a blend of old favorites. L’Oréal True Match foundation in N2-R2, a bit of NARS Creamy Concealer in Vanilla wherever is needed. To add a bit more dimension I apply my Sleek Contour Kit in light in the hollows of my cheeks, around the temples of my forehead and a bit down the nose. I filled in my brows with the Anastasia Brow Wiz in Taupe. Sephora’s Pop of Orange blush on the cheeks and MAC’s In Extreme Dimension mascara on the lashes. To finish this autumnal look off I just applied a bit of my favorite MAC lipstick in the shade Plumful. It’s a lustre finish so it’s quite sheer but still gives a nice tint to the lips and is definitely build able.

What’s your favorite eyeshadow palette? And do you wear eyeshadow on an everyday basis?

  1. So pretty! I’ve wanted to spring for a Naked palette, but I never wear eyeshadow anymore. My favourite palette (of all time) was this gorgeous limited-edition LORAC palette. It was encased in gold sequins and glitter and every shade in it was something I used. You could go from day to night! …I miss that palette so much!
