Face: The Summer Edit

With the return of the better weather (… who am I kidding here?) I’ve really been switching up my make-up routine. I substituted my foundation with the Dior Diorskin Nude BB Cream (41€) that gives a light coverage (I am shade 002) and has made a slight improvement to my lately blemished skin. Those pesky little spots were covered up with the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer (10€) in 01- Fair. While I find the application through a sponge quite unhygienic it really works well in blending. It even works quite nicely under the eyes.

I like filling in my eyebrows with a grayish-brown eyeshadow. This one is by Catrice 350 – Starlight Expresso (2,80€), but I think MAC’s Copperplate is quite similar. For my eyes I’ve been opting for brown mascara rather than black mascara lately. It looks fresh and natural, just what I’m looking for during the summer.

To add some color to my mostly pale face I apply the Bourjois Bronzing Powder in shade 52 (10€) contouring my cheek bones and temples. On the apples of my cheek I like Sephora’s Orange Pop N°17 (11€). On my lips I’ve added just a swipe of Benefit’s Benetint Lip Balm (25€). I’ve had this for absolutely ages so I think it might be discontinued but it’s a nice sheer lip balm that is rather on the glossier side.

What are some of your summer essentials, please tell!
